Study methods

I have heard many posters speak of a color coded highlighting system for their books - can someone please fill me in as to how this works? Also, I begin my program in March so any other study hints would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I don't think there is one method. Different colors signify different things for everyone. I know of folks who make the patho of a disease one color, complications to watch for another color, nursing interventions another color....you get the idea.

Personally, I don't highlight....I find that it doesn't help my reading....just gets me a colorful book :) I take notes on my reading and then after lecture I combine the two sets of notes.
