Hi,

I'm on faculty at University and Calgary, and interested about the relationship between pop culture and formal education. My current study focuses on the shows Grey's Anatomy and Scrubs, and involves focus groups with undergrad nursing students who watch either/both of the shows. Participation is pretty simple and fun -- we get together, watch some clips from the shows, and talk about how the messages in them relates to what you're learning in your programs and experiencing. As well as Calgary, I'm looking for nursing students in Vancouver/Victoria, BC and Toronto. I'll be on the West Coast next week (February 21-28) and would be happy to arrange sessions with folks then. I haven't yet scheduled my trip to Toronto.
