Hello all,
I was reading the other thread about getting A's in nursing school, most people said they did. So my question is what are your study habits? I used flash cards in A&P 1(taking A&P 2 this spring) and that worked well the first semester, but as soon as we went into the bones and muscles it didn't help, I got a C in that class (very disappointed). The problem for me was the lab. I know everyone is different in the way they learn but I'm curious what worked for you?

laybell,
are you a visual learner? i am (love to highlight, pictures really help solidify things, etc.). these really helped me...

it seems overly simplistic to color, but it really helps bring the information home to me. you can also find these books, or very similar ones, at barnes and noble, borders, and half price books.
the other thing that helps me learn (a&p as well as nursing), is i rewrite my instructors notes. this semester all my instructor had powerpoint handouts for class. i would underline/highlight anything they mentioned more than once (test question!), then when i went home i would rewrite the powerpoint handout in a format that made sense to me (usually an outline form). this way the act of writing it down helps me learn, as well as organizing it to my tastes. it's worked really well for me so far.
best of luck to you!
