Hello! I think I have finally decided to go the EC route for my RN. I've been an LVN almost 14 years so I have a lot of experience. Currently I am taking the rest of my pre reqs through a community college so i will mostly just have the nursing courses to do through EC. I have looked on ebay and there are study cd's and study guides that people sell. Any suggestions or ones anybody here has used that has helped them with the material? Thank you for any help :)

I have a medsurg and fundamentals book and saunders and I've been using studygroup101. I have a few of the other ones from ebay, but I really didn't care for them much, one is just powerpoints and a 50 question quiz, lisa's has a background thingy and it's very hard to read, the medstongg(?) one is collected notes from the yahoo groups and you can get those free anyway, but I do like the SG101 though, lots of practice questions and excellent customer service . 5 exams down, 2 to go (although I've been slacking something terrible lately! - must be spring!). It did take me a little while to get into a rhythem to studying, but I had taken several CLEPs and that got me familiar with self-study.
You can take all your pre-req classes before your 'officially' enroll - CLEP or DSST are cheaper and penn foster, there is an annual re-enrollment fee and if you have everything out of the way before you start the nursing classes, you may not have to pay the second year fee.
I hope to be eligble for the clinical in another 2 months - whoohoo!! Good luck to you, Kassie
Thanks for the info! I purchased study group 101 Transitions and the Saunders NCLEX book so Im going to start working on this. Good luck in finishing up your last couple of tests!
