Let them know why you want to work at their hospital. Tell them about your clinical experience in the nursing programs; what type of floors you've worked on, how far along you are in school, ect. If you have relevant nursing experience, like working as a tech, talk about that. At my first RN job interview the HR rep asked me how would I rate my customer service skills and to describe my experiences providing good customer service, so I told her about my past job as a waitress and how I handled difficult customers. Just spin whatever experience you have to be positive! Oh and have a reference sheet to provide them.. I'm sure it would look great if you had some past instructors or clinical instructors as references! Good luck!

So, I'm going to speak with this person in the HR dept. of the hospital at which I applied for 3 different nurse internships. I have 2 classmates -both married- who recently applied, went and talked to a specific person in HR and now they are both hired(granted, one of their kids works at the hospital) , whose name they gave me, and now I will go speak with them, but, I honestly have no idea what to say to them. Hello, my name is Sara... I'm a student nurse in a nursing program at yada yada college... please hire me?
All joking aside, I really need some help. What exactly should I ask or say to them? I want them to look over my application and pull it and have a face to match to a name... I'm really nervous about it, and just need a little direction. I haven't had to apply for a job or go to an interview in 7 years. I'm a little rusty :-)
Thanks!
