Student loan forgiveness/ Military

Hello i am a new nurse. Started working in tele a few months ago. Its a tuff job but i am starting to enjoy it. i have a big debt amassed from going to west coast university. It was a fine school but that debt is fat. i had two loans from Sallie Mae and one Stafford loan.

Im wondering if there is any one who has gotten into the military with the same/similar criteria who were able to get some help with their loans post nursing school going in as an officer. How does it work, i read they can pay up to 1/3 or up to 65000. but im not sure my loan qualifies since its sallie mae. i should call, but i wanted to gauge the responses from fellow nurses first.
