Stressed out about taking the Compass and PSB entrance tests!!!

Published

Hello Everyone:lol2:

I'm 34 years old with two children. I haven't been in school in 16 years. And stayed in a job I hated for ten. Recently decided to look into nursing because that was the PLAN before the first child. I'm worried about the entrance test and I'm scared of failing. Is there any kind of books that can prepare me for the PSB and Compass? Has anyone taken these test? Please help:cry: I feel really passionate about going in this direction:heartbeat

Would love to hear some encouraging words:typing

I took the compass in October. I was all worked up and nervous over it. It's really not bad at all. I do recommend brushing up on pre-algebra and algebra for the math portion. www.math.com is what I used. On the math part your computer will continue to give you questions as long as you are answering them correctly, after you miss a certain number of questions the math portion will turn off and take you to the next portion with was reading I believe. For the reading portion it will give you a couple of passages to read and then after each passage it will ask 4-6 questions. This was the most important part to me because my school requires atleast a 76% on it.

You are allowed to use calculators on the math portion also. Just be sure to practice the math and you should be fine.

Good luck!
