Ok, so I'm still taking these prereqs (about another year) and then I go to nursing school. I'm really stressed out in general about staying in nursing school and about getting good enough grades to get into an NP program. I'm a great student. So far I have a 3.6 and using the forgiveness policy for a mishap in chem I'm bringing it to a 3.7 next semester. There are two things that worry me. I'm not a morning person and my nursing friend told me rotations are like 6am. I remember one class I took I never went to because it was in the morning (like not ridiculous just 9am). I have woken up for things in the morning, just not consistently, some things yes, some things no. The other thing is, I'm not a science person and am afraid that no matter how hard I study I won't be able to get a competitive gpa. I know this all is a bit early to be worrying about, but I have never wanted anything more to be a nurse and I would like some advice or encouragement about just getting through nursing school without losing my entire social life/ becoming depressed and how to maintain a good gpa to get into an np program. My friend majored in math and minored in chem with a 3.7 and nursing school she took an accelerated program and got a 2.7 (not sure if this was due to the fast pace of the program). This is also part of my concern.
