Stony Brook - Accelerated BSN

Hello All,

I'm currently thinking of applying to Stony Brooks Accelerated BSN that Start in Summer 19. I'm currently doing my prereqs at Rockland Community College. so far my Pre-reqs GPA is 3.78 and I'm studying hard for the HESI A2 (Even thou I don't see it in the list of Reqs.).

I currently have a Bachelors in Civil Engineering and a Masters in construction management. I was not a good student in my bach and graduate just barely with a 2.0 GPA. In my Master's I achieved a 3.2 GPA.

I have the following question:

1) Does Stony Brook require the HESI, TEAS or neither?

2) Will my Bach's GPA affect my chances of getting in?

If anyone that got accepted could share some details such as GPA, volunteer work, etc.

Hi Ecollad0 and thank you for posting this! I recently decided to apply to Stony Brook and am wondering the same things. My prereqs are at a 3.2 and am wondering if it's even good enough. Should I bother applying?

Hopefully, someone with more knowledge than us will write soon.
