I just wanted to spread some good thoughts and testimony your way from a recent new grad (March 2010). I know we hear everywhere that jobs are few and far between in the bay area but I found that there is still hope out there. I had all my clinicals in the bay area and 2 of my 3 job offers were from 2 big hospitals that I did my senior preceptorship in. I just want to say, dont forget those people! The managers, employees and your preceptor especially has a lot to do with possibly getting you into the hospital if you do great in your clinical. I also applied in LA too just in case-and got that job too. I know my story isn't that normal but the valid point is networking and using the people skills that got you into this profession in the first place. Don't give up!
