out of state NPs in NYC

Hello everyone. I have searched for a topic like this, but cannot find one, so here goes...

Does anyone know if NPs from other states have a difficult time trying to find jobs in Manhattan? I am anxious to move to NYC in a year or so, and got to thinking... with all the excellent nursing schools in NYC, do they favor their own or do they give out-of-staters a chance? :confused:

(I know that experience can/should/would play a part in getting hired, but I think I am looking for some anecdotal experiences vs. what "should" happen ;))
