Hello All,
I am working on forming a Pre-Nursing club at my community college and need ideas for club activities and meetings. I want to form this club as a sort of place where pre-nursing students can receive tips to get into nursing school and learn more about the different options they have. I would like to help them learn about volunteer experiences and basically just have a place where we can all share ideas and help each other. Just the talk of a club has already generated a lot of interest since so many people want extra things to put on their nursing school applications. Does anyone have any ideas for things we can do? I have to come up with a list of activities to present before the school will approve the club.
Thanks!

Hi sscofield,
I am in the same boat as you, there has been a lot of talk about uniting the pre-nursing students at my community college. How did you go about recruiting members and organizing your club?

This is a great idea! I wish my school had this and I just finished pre-reqs so I can't start one :-)
Maybe check with your school's SNA and see if you can do some joint events? That way the pre-nursing students can get an idea what its actually like to be in a program.

Meet up.com cost a little in money money but that's a way.. But you can do study sessions and volunteer together or maybe take CPR classes or somthing like that...set up for a current RN to speak with you guys about what it's like..
