starting pay for cna/gna in dc md va area

I am just finishing a cna program in dc. Was wondering if anyone knew of the salary I can expect to receive working as a CNA in the DC metro area and also what is the job climate like?

I can't say for the DC area but the NYC metro area usually starts between $11-12 plus there's usually a shift differential. If you don't mind working odd schedules, I have come to find they will pay per diem CNA's a dollar or so more per hour.

ive worked in sykesville and Baltimore i have only a year experience Baltimore pays about 11.70-12.25, sykesville i make 14.00

My cousin lives in Eastern Shore MD and she makes $13 from my understanding. In VA however, they start anywhere from $9-$11, at least when I lived out there a few years back.

Hi! I live in Montgomery County, MD. The starting pay here is between $10-$13 however after 90 days, it may go higher.
