Nurses with MICU experience...I am transfering from OR to MICU and I am in need to review nursing skills and theory...can you please help me with advice?

Review your ACLS meds, cardiac iv drips and such. We use a lot of Epi, Neo, Levo, Cardene and such. See if there are any of the shortcuts to figuring drips that you want to learn; drip factors and such.
Re-familiarize yourself with the basics of ECG interpretation. You might also want to get some copies of the department's nursing notes to preview, they will probably be quite different than what the OR uses.

Review all vasoactive meds/drips. Know them as well as you can - you'll get to know them well.
Propofol and blood pressure - know the relationship
Pain meds and blood pressure - this relationship you probably know
Sepsis, sepsis, sepsis
ACLS - epi, atropine, epi, atropine, bicarb anyone. When a patient codes and you are learning - grab the clipboard and be the scribe. This way you really get the whole picture of the code. Chest compressions you can learn.
