Those are the classes I am taking, starting Aug. 18th. Does anyone have any advice for me? Or know anything about any of these classes. The ones Im really concerned about are history and english. Im not too worried about the math.:sniff::twocents:

Seems like a good schedule and balance of classes. If writing essays aren't our forte get a "how to write essays" book and bone up on the format your school prefers either APA or MLM. Though your English composition class will teach you skills that you can easily apply to your history class.

I too think you have a good balance of classes. I wouldn't worry too much about English. Just be prepared to write essays. In my English class we wrote 5 short essays and one big essay for our final.

I am really good at writing papers. English is my best subject. In my advanced English class my instructor told me I should switch my major to English because I write so well. But I don't really see a future with an English degree and although I am a good writer, I have no desire to. I only do it because my classes require me to!! Anyways, the reason I'm telling you this is because if you need any help with a paper, let me know. I can give you good advice.

OMG......youd really do that for me? Thats so sweet of you, cause Im bad at writing papers.....always have errors..I just bought a voice recongization (sp?) program. lol

I just read a post about voice recognition programs. How cool are those? But I wouldn't suggest it for writing papers. I say this because the program may be able to type what you say word for word but it may not add things like commas, semi-colons, and so on. You may end up spending more time editing than actually writing the paper.

And of course I will help you. It's nice when people offer to help me so I have to keep the favor going. :o)

Think Ill have to write papers in History since 1865?? Any tips on studying?

Send me a PM when you find out what your topics are going to be about. I'll help you figure out where to start. As far as studying, a good timeline diagram will help you. It's confusing if you imagine things in your head out of order. Reading history books can be really tedious sometimes. But you just have to do it. Look for websites that are for children. They are more interesting learn from sometimes.
