which start date to choose?

I recently got hired and my supervisor gave me two possible start dates. She said I could start in mid November or Dec 1 if I want to take a vacation first (since I have to work at least several months to get enough PTO to take a vacation. She said it doesn't make any difference for her or the department when I start. For me, money is not an issue here, I don't have to work immediately to pay my bill. I do want to have a vacation. But I was wondering if I choose the later start date, would that make me look bad or less enthused about the job (even though she said it doesn't matter)? Thanks!
