Hello nurses and future nurses. I applied to 2 nursing programs, CSU Sacramento (2year program) and CSU Stanislaus (3 year program). I havent heard anything about any of these two programs since I am new to the area and didnt really do any research on these two schools. I am closer to Stanislaus, so Id prefer to go there so I can be with my family (Im married with two kids [34yrs old]), but the idea of being done in TWO years vs THREE..... oh how tempting that is. But again, I havent heard anything about any of these two programs, so if anyone out there has any insight, please let me know. Thank you

I went to Stan state. 3 year programs are still rigorous and busy, but you have a bit of time for yourself and your family, as well as summer and winter off. Sac state you are going to rush through everything so you're gonna have to be on top of everything. Summer courses are expected I believe. Stan state has smaller class settings so you get that student prof relationship and they're always around for you, you're gonna have more consistency between clinical and theory. You won't see that as much in bigger cohorts. Just depends on your drive I suppose.
