Is anyone using a standing desk and how is that working for you?

Ohh I want one! I've been looking at the yoga ball chairs too!

Our office aide requested one. She stood for some period of time after she got it but now I only see her sitting.

I want one of those too. This year has been brutal on my back (and butt)

No but I need one. Or the yoga ball. Or just to move my butt more.

Standing at mine right now ?

I mentally and physically have to be moving, so I love mine. I stand for most of my day.

I have one that is hydraulic and goes up and down so I have the option of sitting or standing. It is a lifesaver for me on busy days in terms of documenting student visits.

I have both the yoga ball and standing desk, inherited from the previous nurse! LOVE LOVE LOVE the standing desk. I move it up and down all day. It's a Varidesk.

I have a love/hate relationship with my yoga ball. In order to feel the support its supposed to provide, it needs to be super inflated, but then my legs don't fit under the desk and my posture gets weird. I have a classic doctor's office spinning stool that moves up and down, so I have set aside the yoga ball for now and am using the stool. This summer, I plan on bringing in some risers for the desk so I can use the yoga ball (or at least try it). I worry about the other ergonomics getting weird - keyboard/mouse being too high for example. Gotta keep everything at a right (90deg) angle!

No, but next year I will have a separate office and clinic (I've only every had one big room), so I'm thinking of getting some type of standing/rolling cart thing to have my computer on when I'm in the clinic part.

Had one for years and use it all the time. Love it.

i borrowed a yoga ball chair from ot/pt. it was fine, but honestly, i was happy enough to return it when they needed it for a student. I just try not to sit in one place too long and take a power walk around the school at least once or twice a day. I think i'd like the hydraulic standing desk

We had a few staff members get standing desks last year. They used them for a few weeks and now I only see the desks in the sitting position. I just drink a lot of water, so I'm always on the move running to the bathroom.

Unfortunately that isn't an option, we get what we get. We're lucky when we get a new chair. We've been using a broken chair at one of the schools for most of the school year, supposedly a new one has been ordered, I'll believe it when I put my behind in it.
