Standard of Care for Mission Trips

Hello all,

I'm in my first year of SRNA school. I'm wondering if there is a place where I can find information on the standards of care for a CRNA who participates in international mission trips. I know practices differ within the U.S., so how is it affected when you travel internationally and volunteer in communities who are not normally exposed to medical treatment?

I have no idea if there is any pertininet info on these podcasts but check out "From the Head of the Bed". Episodes 29 and 30 discuss a guy and his family who moved to Chad to fulfill a long term commitment to provide anesthesia there. I haven't listened to these specific episodes but most of the other stuff is pretty good.
