St. Vincents College at Sacred Heart

Hello All!

I noticed that there wasn't a thread for this year so I wanted to start one.

I live in near Hartford, CT and I'm 25 and I want to start a career in Nursing.

I have a BA in Psychology with a low undergrad GPA of a 2.51 ?

So I'm taking the longer route to eventually become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

I do have a high pre-req GPA due to class retakes at several community colleges and I've also completed most of the pre-req requirements too. Im taking Ethics at Portage Learning to get my GPA to the 2.75 needed to be accepted to the program.

Teas score of 76, and experience as Americorps state member at a health education site with 1700 hours.

Anyone know when we will hear back from admissions?

I also applied to St. Vincents college and my application was completed on 1/29 but I also haven't heard back. It's only been six weeks but I am curious to know when they will get back to us. Have you heard anything back?

Update:

I already heard of many people getting called for interviews and being told they got in. ? I haven't heard heard from them so maybe I won't be making into this upcoming fall semester but I have my fingers crossed for the CT-CCNP?

I emailed them today and was told that my application will be reviewed today ?

May I ask when you handed your application in

I emailed the admissions counselor last Thursday but she never responded

Did you email the svc admissions email?

Hey I got rejected from the program. IDK what they were looking for but oh well. Luckily I have some acceptances to other places. Best of luck to the rest of u!

TBH it’s for the best. I’m at SVC and it’s garbage. It’s overpriced, a lot of bad teachers, and they have a low first time pass rate for the NCLEX.
