So i just finished my first semester of nursing school going for my RN (associates degree) and i failed by 4 points! So now im trying to figure out what my next move is. I can't go back to the school i was at and do it again because there is a 2 year waiting list! Im trying to decide if i should go straight for my BSN or just get my LPN first and go back. I have no experience in health care other then my first failed semester of nursing school. My BSN will take me roughly 2 years (its a 3 year accelerated program and i already have a lot of my credits i need) but it would cost about $50,000. LPN would only cost about $15,000, but im afraid i won't be able to find a job because all i hear is how they don't hire LPN's anymore. I would LOVE to get a nurses opinion. FYI: i'm 21, no kids and live with my parents so i don't have to worry about working. Thanks in advance for your help!
