you can try http://www.npfinder.com offered by the american academy of nurse practitioners and see if there are any pediatric nps listed. if allowed by your school, maybe an fnp in pediatrics would count too? just a thought... good luck!
well... it seems as if there is only one np listed and she's adult cardiology within 50 miles of st. louis. i would suggest you open the phone book or look online or with your local np/state np association(s). or if people say no, you could ask for suggestions.
sorry i wasn't much help... good luck!
oh believe me I have. responses have been no we are too busy, we dont have enough staff, we dont precept one. Some have been very nice stating that they were booked with students, gave me suggestions, and wished me well in my future carreer, one place that did give me a recommendation I called and they agreed to precept. I just finished my first clinical rotation in september, long story,( had 3 family members die in 8 weeks took lots of time off from clinical,) then started with a new person at a different place who told me after i was there one day that she was having personal problems and could not precept but told my school that she did not want to precept me that I was too self confident for her. suggestions on how to act should I act stupid, be humble or what.
