Spring 2022 Distance ASBN Baylor

Published

Hello. I am wondering if anyone else on here has been accepted into this nursing program at Baylor University?

I'm from the Houston/Katy area.

Whoops I meant ABSN LOL

Hi Amanda,

I was accepted. I'm in the Houston/Montrose area.

Hello and congrats! What's your name?

Thank you and congrats to you as well ? my name is Shyla. Are you done with all of your classes? I'm anxious and nervous at the same time to start.

Thanks ?. It's nice to [virtually] meet you Shyla. Yeah, I have finished all my nursing prerequisites. How about you? I wasn't sure at first if I would have to take a Bible course through WTAMU but one of my courses counted towards that requirement.

I'm also anxious and nervous to start! It's going to be a busy year. Time will quickly pass by as we progress in the DABSN program. I worry some about only having 2 wks dedicated towards lab skills as we will cram in so much hands-on training. The one-on-one clinicals will also be intense as we learn alongside our preceptor without other students there to support each other.

You're welcome ? Yes, I've finished all of mine as well. I'm just patiently waiting. I had the New Student Webinar yesterday and I ordered my uniforms and name badges today. It's all so much. Yes, it will be a very busy year. I'm also concerned about having to cram so much in 2 weeks. At least we will meet other students there for support. I was thinking that preceptors may accept multiple students but I'm not sure how that works. I'm ready to find out where I will be for clinicals.
