Specialty to fit Personality Type?

I'm a Nursing Student, RN via Associate Degree and I wondered is there a personality test that helps show you what field of nursing would be the best 'fit'? I would really appreciate advice from experienced nurses on what they think. Reba

Hi Reba, I am a nurse for only a few months but just got a resume done by someone that only delves into the medical realm. He asked me many (hmmmmmmmmmm.......) questions. He asked me if I am a "sprinter" or a marathon runner. Do I like to move fast or do I like a slower pace. This is were you might like to start. I am a sprinter. I like to think fast....but of course you have to think fast right. So I am looking for a whopper of a preceptor to do so....to guide me and smack my hand when I am not moving fast or SMART enough. So I am looking at ER, CCU/ICU....even a busy med-surg. I was at a busy med/surg but there were no team players there, just backstabbing. The team you work with is just as important to get the right experience. I hope this helped :) Bindy

I think as you go through nursing school, you should get a feel for what you like. Once you graduate, you can always start out on a med-surg unit to give you some hands on everything in order to determine what's best for you.
