South shore hospital weymouth cna

Published

Hi everyone!!:D

I am about to graduate my CNA training program through Catholic Charities/Brockton. I really want to work in a hospital not a nursing home. I am currently in home health care and NEED a change! I know South Shore hospital in Weymouth is hiring CNA's but not even sure they would hire a new CNA graduate. Anyways.....the real question here is if anyone knows the salary range they pay their CNA's? I have been trying to do some research on agencies as well and trying to find who pays the best. So, if anyone has any information or experience they can post it really would be greatly appreciated!

I am trying to get info on South shore hospital in weymouth. Quincy medical center in Quincy, Good Samaritan in Brockton, any other hospitals that pay good or some good paying agencies for home health care aides that actually have work!

Also.....I am signed up with Peace of Mind home health care awaiting an assignment from them, its been a few weeks since the interview and still nothing! They pay $18 an hour but have not started:crying2: Does anyone know anything about this agency? Are they reputable?

Specializes in Pediatrics.

Hi!

I worked at SSH as a Nursing Assistant while I was in RN school. I wasn't certified, just a nursing student with almost all my clinicals finished, so I'm sure they would love to hire you as a CNA. It would also help a lot if you know someone (an RN, NP, MD etc) who could give your name to a hiring manager/nurse manager on the unit you want to work.

I worked on the Birthing Unit, and loved it. I learned a TON and definitely felt like a valued member of the health care team. The nurses I worked with were really supportive, and very understanding when things got hectic (I was often the only NA on the unit).

And to answer your question.. I was paid $13 and some change per hour as a NA, but I worked on weekdays (so no differentials). I would also think that you would get paid more as a CNA.

Hope that helps!

Good luck with your search!
