Does anyone have any information on South Miami hospital? I am about to start a travel assignment there in March on the Resp/Cardiovascular Stepdown unit. I know that the big thing is Miami has a lot of Spanish-speakers but what about the hospital? Any help would be appreciated.

Never been a traveler but I've worked for the system SMH is a part of,and it's my favorite of the several hospitals in the system. Kind of a nice atmosphere, not terribly uppity or anything. Can't give you anything on ratios etc, but I know several nurses there that seem happy enough.
As for the spanish, if you don't know it, you'll learn the words you need to get by, I promise. SMH parking's a bit crap - and it's right on US1, so your commute will depend on where ya live. There's a uniform store across the street LOL, if that helps, and a credit union on site.
Welcome to Miami! Feel free to pm me if you have specific questions
Thanks So much and I will definately PM you if I have questions!
