South Carolina Medicaid Cuts

Are you all aware that DHHS in SC has eliminated the Hospice Medicaid benefit? How are other Hospice agencies in SC dealing with this issue? Have any of you been affected yet?

Not in SC, but have heard about this! Hopefully, our new president's incentive proposal (also dubbed the Health care Tax Reform Bill as it contains GOBS of healthcare incentives) will be of benefit to your state. Most recipients of the benefit are Medicare primary, but not pediatrics and the younger cancer patients. What a travesty to our healthcare system to deny hospice access to the poor, who often need it most.
