Soon-to-be LPN (LPN-to-RN Programs?)

Published

Hello! I'm a person who has been dreaming to be a nurse for quite a while and an opportunity has hit me very quickly (or even too quickly, really ^^' )

My high school offers Practical Nursing classes and upon completion, they offer the NCLEX-PN, as well as a post-grad 9 month internship!

I'm planning to take it, not this year, but the following, so I can prep for the SAT/ACT.

But the thing is, if I do take the class, pass the NCLEX-PN and gain licensure, I'm not sure if I should be entering an LPN-RN program or go for the BSN directly for the full 4 years...

What's more, I don't really know what to expect from these programs, and most of the Google searches have me terribly confused

Those are the major questions I'm thinking about...any words of wisdom?

Also, this is more childish question but will I be looked down upon in these LPN to RN programs if I'm a bit young? I would be an RN at 19 (presuming its a two year program), and I feel like being young would be make me seen as less competent, if not to the other people around me while I'm learning with others, then my future employer and potential coworker nurses.

My overarching goal is to become an APRN.

Thank you very much!
