I know your pain. I have been there some days I am still there. I graduate in 63 days and 7 minutes. Here something I do when I get really stressed and I have a lot of studing to do. I make a list of what I have to do. Then I break it up into chunks, such as 3 pages of a 10 page paper or I study 10 pages of notes I need to study for a test . I start studying and when I get a chunk finished I give myself 10 or 15 minutes (I set an egg timer) of something that I want to do or that is relaxing. I try to think of it as a game. When I am really stressed and thinking about being stressed it takes me longer to get things done. This helps me with that.

Well stress can lower your resistance and it definitely can be a big roadblock in achieving any quality study time. I can be super stressed and sit down to study for 8 hours straight and not get as much done as when I decide to set a couple of hours dedicated to study that I give myself a deadline and remove all distractions. If there is tv on or even the computer calling out for me to surf the web or peruse posts on allnurses I have to force myself to turn it all off.
I say go ahead and go for that run. It will make you alert and will improve your mood. Then tell yourself you will follow it with two hours of dedicated study time. (with a short break in between.) Clear the desk, close the door and you will be surprised at how much you can accomplish. Of course I say that now and here I am on allnurses. I guess I better get to bed. Take care, Jean
