SMMC Nurse Scholar

Hello everyone!

I was awarded a scholarship through St. Mary's Medical Center in Long Beach, CA. The deal is they pay for my education and then I work for them for 2 years once I graduate from my program.

I am wondering if anyone has had this or a similar scholarship and can give me some info.

Did they have a job for you right when you graduated?

Was it hard to obtain volunteer hours during the program? (thats another deal is I have to volunteer during the program, just once a month).

I am curious to see how it will pan out once I graduate. I am extremely thankful that I will have a job lined up, I'm just wondering how quickly a position becomes available upon graduation.

Hi Jaimaca!

My interview for the St. Mary Hospital Nurse Scholar will be this Thursday and I am so nervous about it! HOw was the interview? How many people did they call for an interview?

How did you prepare for the interview? and what type of questions did they ask you?. I am so nervous because I do not want to do bad in the interview and not get the scholarship. If you have any advice, you are more than welcome to share it :)
