SIMV Via CPAP Mask

SIMV mode always used in invasive mode, wherase CPAP or (PSV) using in both invasive (like weaning off) and non-invasive.

What if using SIMV mode via CPAP mask ?

if this is right can you give an evidence, as i use it many time in hospital which was effective like COPD cases.

I was asked the intensivist and the answer was : all the mode we can use it as invasive and noninvasive.
