Hello everyone! I am a pre-nursing student with a BS in Biology from May 2014. It took me a few years of retail jobs and wandering before I finally settled on nursing, and now I am so ready to move forward. I am taking the last few prereqs I need before applying for a Spring 2018 program, but I am started to worry about how little real "clinical" experience I have. I volunteered in a clinic for a while in 2016, and I probably have more than 60 hours of experience, but I still feel unsure. Should I push my application to Fall 2018 and try to work as a PCT before applying? I am just... really wanting to get out of retail/move on with my life! I have a 3.86 GPA and a 4.0 science GPA, by the way.

Heck no, apply now. Getting some real world experience as a PCT may be a good thing to have but it's not required, and there will be many opportunities down the road for you to still work as one.
Thanks for the reassurance!
