Should I take Bio 201 ( a&p1) with CHM 130AA( fundamental Chem.) together ?

I was wondering if these two classes together were hard? I don't know if it's a good idea since people say too much science classes is a lot at one time and btw they both have lab. I just don't know what to do any tips or advice would be great! I know Chem has math involved is it easy to remember and break down ? Oh yeah and I was also thinking about taking 3 other classes this fall semester ( com., Psy and a history class) some easy classes I guess?! Lol

You will probably get alot of different answers with this question. Depends on the person I would think.. I did them together with a Math for health sciences and did well. The best advice I can give you is make sure you have enough time to study for A&P. If you aren't that good with sciences then maybe break it up. I posted a few minutes ago but it didnt save.. Chemistry isnt that bad to me.. A&P was more intense than chemistry...

Hi! I think it likely depends on your own comfort/ability with science classes, how often you work, etc but if you have the study time and drive to do it then you should be alright. :) A/P is mainly just memorization- it's one of those classes where you'll need to study everyday after class in order to stay on track. It's not bad if you are aware how you study best (ex: I like to watch videos and then look at the textbook). Chem seems to either be really easy or really difficult to people- it is mostly math based. If you can understand the equations, then typically the concepts as a whole aren't too difficult. A crucial part of chem is being able to do conversions and solve for a variable. As long as you get decent professors I think it's totally doable. Good luck!

Hmmm.. You're class load to me sounds very doable as for fall semester last year I took A&P 1 w/lab, nutrition (400 level research class), medical terminology, communication, and 2 other paper heavy general education classes, and I received all A's. So it can be done if your main focus is on school.

During my undergraduate studies ( for nutrition, allied health) I took anatomy, chemistry, and two other general studies courses and did not do as well as I thought I would do. It depends on your learning style and if you are working or have other obligations that require a lot of your attention. I was a full time student and only working on the holidays. For me, both subjects required A LOT of my attention. I spent a lot of time reading, studying and attending tutoring for both subjects. It will be easier if one subject is slightly easier for you to learn. It also depends on the professor you have. I suggest looking at ratemyprofessor.com to read previous students reviews on the professor. Although not all the time the ratings are accurate, the majority of the time they have helped me. I ended up retaking chemistry at a community college. And I know if I had the professor I had when I retook the course then I would have understood general chemistry a lot better, and I would have been able to spend less time studying and trying to understand my chemistry homework which would've allowed me to focus more on anatomy. If you plan on taking other general education classes too ( such as history, psychology, etc) then I suggest that you take a&p one semester with history (for example) and your chemistry course with a different general education course such as psyc. Basically why put the heavy workload on yourself if you plan on taking other courses that aren't as difficult to understand.Hope this helps and good luck to you!
