Should I study LPN in the Philippines to work in California?

Published

Hello community, I currently live in the Philippines and will be migrating to the California, USA in about 2 years. I want to be a nurse and am thinking maybe I could do a LPN program while I'm still in the Philippines instead of taking the course in the USA  to save a lot of time and money. I'm not sure if the course will transfer though. Does anyone have any advice about this? Maraming salamat!

I have read some threads on here and understand that the LPN historically didn't grant visas. I should add for my situation, I have a fiance who is a US citizen so immigration isn't a problem.
