Should i continue with bio 189 or transfer to bio 095

Im currently taking bio 189 im on my 3rd class and i have an option to transfer to biology95 in 2 days at no cost, i havent taken any biology classes since HS, that is aprox. 10 plus years ago. Iam very confused with the lectures and i havent had any quizes yet. What do you guys recommemd? I feel 189 is too hard for me to understand but i feel like Im

taking a huge step back. What to do..... I feel im a good student but this concept of biology i just dont understand it. please help!!!!

Is Bio 189 required for nursing school or will 095 suffice? It sounds like you're new-to-this-school student who hasn't taken college level courses in awhile. There is going to be an adjustment period as you learn how you best study and retain information, and biology concepts are difficult for many students. There is no guarantee that Bio 095 is going to be easier. In your nursing career there will be several hard courses that you don't have the option of transferring out of. This biology class could be a great opportunity to learn how to effectively master difficult material, and what you learn about your study habits may prove very helpful later in school. But If you think 095 will help you transition into your college program, and switching won't cost you much in terms of money or time (needing to retake 189 later), then go ahead and do it. Just realize it may not be the big fix you're thinking it will be.
