Hey Sam,
I don't know if no interview is good or bad news. It kind of takes the stress away from having to worry about another step, but it eliminates them actually getting to know us better before making final decisions. Their e-mail is also the last thing I received from them. We probably won't hear until mid-April or even May.
Which track did you apply for? I applied for the Adult Acute Care track.
I wish they had an FNP track though for the GMSN. And just to show how ridiculous I am, I actually applied for the GMSN program last year and chose "FNP" for my track.. LOL. I called the nursing dept. receptionist and she said I could do it after I told her how confused I was! I don't know if that's a factor to why I didn't get in last year, so I'm hoping I get more luck this year. We'll see.
I agree- sometimes interviews are nice so you arent just a name on a piece of paper. I applied for the maternal/child health cns. I too wish there was a NP track for the GMSN. I wanted to do Pediatric NP. Bummer about choosing the wrong thing haha sounds like something I would do : ) Did you do anything to improve your app this time around?
I did not, actually. Well, I had been volunteering for about one year at a SNF, and then I stopped to go back to school for some electives. Then I started volunteering again in December at another hospital, but I was already applying to SFSU and I hadn't volunteered enough hours to make it seem worthy of sending in. I didn't take the GRE again either, and I didn't do well at all, haha. So SFSU might even be a long shot for me, but I hear they really only consider the analytical writing portion (you have to get 4 or above), and I got 4.5, so it's worth a shot.

Hi all! Has anyone heard anything from SFSU yet? And I forget, but is there an interview process for SFSU? I would appreciate any input from people who have also applied to this program! Thanks! :)
