Secrets of the TEAS exam study guide

I have been accepted to nursing school and just received a notice that I will have to take the TEAS Exam in five weeks. It's been a long time since I took chemistry and algebra, so I definately need a review. I just ordered the Secrets of the TEAS exam study guide, but now I'm wondering if this is a good review/study book or if it is mostly about test taking strategies. Does anyone know? Thanks a lot.

Hi, I had to take the TEAS test about a month ago. I was pretty nervous and scrambled to find any kind of "great" study tool. I purchased the flash cards from the same maker of that book you just bought. Big mistake, I paid $60 for them and never even looked at them. There were probably 500 or so cards to study. Anyhow I felt overwhelmed by all of this possible info. that "could" be on this test. The book as I understood it just gives secrets of test-taking. Not secrets of the TEAS test. Which is why I bought the flash cards instead. I think the best study guide was the one I purchased by the TEAS test makers. It is by ATI, and it is solely based on the TEAS test. You can but one online at www.atitesting.com. It was very informative. I ended up getting an 82% on the test:yeah:(which was good for me considering I havent been to school in years) I hope that you return that book you just bought and get the one I just described...Good Luck!:nurse:
