Second-degree B.S. to B.S.N

Published

Howdy Folks,

I have a BS in Biology and a minor in Chemistry, and I want to go back to school to get my BS in Nursing with an RN license. I need an accelerated program. However, I need to work, so I 've been looking into online programs or partial-online programs with in-facility clinicals. I can't find any other than Utica College's program. I live in Rhode Island and all the state colleges: URI, RIC, and CCRI, will not accept my credits from my prior degree. They want me to start from scratch. I have neither the time nor the funds to do so. I should add that my GPA is 2.9, not a stellar GPA, but I did take some heavy-duty classes in my major including a full year of organic chemistry. I can't find any local schools that will work with me. They all said that my classes won't transfer, which is b******t since I graduated from a state university, URI. Does anyone have any recommendations? Advice about alternate programs? I appreciate your feedback as I am hoping to start in September 2013.
