Hi everyone! I'm hoping someone could help me out with some info...
[background information] After THREE years of prerequisites, TWO long years on a waiting list, and TWO years in the nursing program, I am FINALLY graduating nursing school!!!! WOOHOO!! I am so ecstatic to be done with school, for now. I do plan to pursue my BSN, but maybe after a year or two. (I'm just so unmotivated and TIRED of school!!)
I'm planning to transfer BACK to SDSU. I originally went there for my freshman year, but due to financial reasons, I had to go back to a community college.
Anyway, can anyone provide me some insight on the RN-BSN program at SDSU? I'm very dead set on going back to SDSU...I started there, I might as well finish there (my personal vendetta :))
What was the application process like?
Was there an interview?
What is the program curriculum like?
How many days a week are classes/clinicals?
Do they allow you to take one class at a time? (Mind you, I'm working full-time and I'm planning to get married within the next year or two and I want to start my LIFE already!!)
Etc etc etc.
I really really really want to get my BSN, especially since every employer I've encountered has given the "get your BSN" speech.
How about other RN-BSN programs? online programs such as CSUDH? I really don't like the idea of "diploma mill" colleges (GCU, UoP etc). Yeah, it's convenient...trust me, I've considered this pro many times...but it's not the same as receiving your degree from a well respected, and recognized college.
Any information would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks everyone!!
Bumpity-BUMP!
