scotchguarding or treating fabric with stain repellent

Anyone know if scotchguard or some other method would protect a 100 percent cotton scrub top?

I know what you're thinking :) as I thought it too! But really I thought any nursing scrub would naturally be treated with some sort of stain release.

I had good success getting fake blood (from our SON disaster drill) but that was a different fabric but still need treated several times with oxy clean in a pot of near boiling water! So now that I'm in the "real world of nursing" I don't know about some of the potential stains I could encounter.

This is a Koi Halle top, which really has beautiful embroidery so I don't want to send it back and it has a scrub look so I wouldn't wear it on my time. I really can't believe Koi would make a top made from 100 pct cotton:confused: and no protectant, maybe they thought only the nurses that still have to wear white but deal with books not the patients would order it :D

Any help from someone who owns this...or tips in general are appreciated.
