Hello everyone,
I'm hoping to get a clear answer here.
I am Adult-Gero Primary Care APN in the state of NJ.
Can I treat acute illnesses such as URI, skin issues etc in PREGNANT patients? I am not FAMILY APN. Is it within the scope of my practice ?
I contacted NJ Board of Nursing however they sent me to their website. Trust me, I checked their website and could not find a clear answer to my question. So I was provided an email however the email box is FULL and my email keeps getting rejected.
My employer is pressuring me to treat pregnant women however I am not sure if it is within the scope of my practice.
Does anyone know the answer or can give me phone number or email of somebody from NJ Board of Nursing that I can talk to.
Monica, APN
