Fisher is located in Pittsford, N.Y., seven miles outside of the city of Rochester. The campus is situated on 164 park-like acres—a beautiful setting for a warm, friendly campus community.
Wegman's School of Nursing
The Wegman's School of Nursing was established in 2006 from the existing Department of Nursing. The school's mission is to prepare exceptional healthcare leaders through inclusive and innovative education to advance the health and wellness of local, national, and global communities.
Students integrate clinical knowledge with decision-making skills, communications expertise, and compassion to improve patient care in a variety of healthcare settings. Fisher's nursing faculty are all practicing nurses who model the behavior, passion, and commitment required to deliver exceptional patient care. Students take part in clinical experiences as traditional nursing undergraduates; among these are global nursing opportunities and clinical experiences closer to home.
Students will also have the chance to study in the Wegmans School of Nursing's simulation center, which mirrors an actual hospital unit. Working with specialized simulation medical equipment offers you enhanced training and experience that reinforces the experiential component of the curriculum.
