The School of Health Studies at Berkeley College specializes in nursing education, offering an LPN to BSN degree, a Practical Nurse certificate program, and an MSN FNP program. Mode of Learning  

The Practical Nurse Certificate program at Berkeley College's Woodland Park campus in New Jersey offers tailored durations and formats to accommodate diverse schedules. Students can choose from a 60-week day program or a 75-week evening program designed for those with daytime commitments, ensuring a focused and specialized education in nursing.

The LPN to BSN Fast-Track program is tailored for experienced LPNs with a minimum of 2,080 clinical hours in the last two years. This accelerated, seven-semester program offers an advanced curriculum to quickly prepare nurses for professional roles.

The Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN FNP) program at Berkeley offers a fully online executive format that can be completed part-time in just over two years. Designed for working nurses, the program allows the transfer of up to 9 credits and provides extensive support services, including career assistance for graduates.

NCLEX-RN Pass Rate 

As of the first quarter of 2024, students in the LPN to BSN program at Berkeley-Woodland Park achieved an 83.3% pass rate on the NCLEX-RN, with 20 out of 24 students successfully passing.

Admissions at Berkeley College-Woodland Park

Applicants must meet the admission requirements. The Nursing Department chairperson or their designee will review all admission documents to assess eligibility. Admission to the program is competitive, and meeting the requirements does not guarantee acceptance.

Accreditation 

The LPN and LPN to BSN programs are approved and accredited by the New Jersey Board of Nursing (BON). Prospective students should be aware that these programs do not have national accreditation from a recognized nursing accrediting body, which may pose restrictions for those wishing to work in states other than New Jersey. 

The MSN FNP program is actively pursuing initial accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) (9/2024).
