3 schools = 3 different tests??

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello! I am planning to apply to 3 different BSN schools which each school requires 3 different tests: HESI A2, TEAS, and NET. I took the NLN last year and got an 89...

For those who took more than one entrance exam, were your test scores similar to each other or did it differ because of the test (or maybe other factors?) I don't want to buy 3 different books if the tests cover the same material. I am already using my NLN book for review and I bought a Kaplan study guide.

Any info is appreciated...thanks! :D

I have only taken the TEAS, but I did buy both the Kaplan study guide and the ATI TEAS study guide. Kaplan definately went more in depth for the most part, but I do think the TEAS might have covered somethings a little differently so as to be like the test format. Lol, did that even make sense?

Anyways, I guess what I'm trying to say is that for the school that requires the TEAS, as long as you don't need a very high score, I would think the Kaplan study guide will cover you just fine.

I took the NET and HESI and I only used one review book. Its called The Complete Preparation Guide Nursing School Entrance Exam and its by learning express. It's really good because it doesnt focus on quesitons that any specific test will cover. Instead it gives a complete review of things that are present in all the test regardless of which particular test it is. It's organized into different categories such as math, chem, A&P etc. so just look up whats going to be on the tests and focus with the guides in the books.

I think it helped me a lot. Especially in the math department. With the NET you cant use calculators so it taught quick ways to do the math and for this test in particular, you dont have much time to spend too much time on each quesiton. It also helped when I took the HESI because they give you a calc but the review practically helped me ace the math department.

I hope this helps.
