NASN & American Healthcare Institute Scholarship
Deadline: April 15th
Intended to improve school nursing by assisting registered nurses employed in schools to advance their education and by recognizing continuing education as a priority among school nurses. This scholarship is funded by the American Healthcare Institute http://www.ahi-online.com/conference/default.asp AHI partners with NASN each year to hold regional summer conferences - this year's conferences:
Atlantic City, NJ - July 19-21, 2004
Location: The Sheraton Atlantic City
New Orleans, LA - July 26-28, 2004
Location: The Fairmont New Orleans
Chicago, IL - August 2-4, 2004
Location: The Hyatt Regency McCormick Place

NASN Legislative Advancement Award (formerly the Sally Williams Legislative Award)
Deadline: April 1st
Intended to provide funding for an NASN member to attend a legislative education program, improve school nursing practice and promote school health through legislation, and to advocate for the children through legislative action. $1,500.
(Due to a transition year for changing due dates, this year only, the award must be used by August 31, 2004. Any legislative education program is appropriate. One eligible educational offering is the Health Policy Institute http://hpi.gmu.edu/ at the George Mason Center for Health Policy Research and Ethics http://chpre.gmu.edu/)
