what school should i go to?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

hi yall....i am currently a pre nursing student at ferris state university in big rapids michigan and i am looking into other nursing schools. preferably out of state and south. where the sun is.i want to know just how competitive it is there and if i would have a better chance of getting in the first time i apply for the nursing program. i have a 3.8 gpa here and am a excellent student. ferris takes 40 students per year for the program and there are a couple hundred of people applying. most people have to wait 4 semesters...2 years before getting into the program here. so..... if anyone knows any southern schools that take alot of students in for the program and dont make you wait longer then 1 semester please let me know...:redpinkhe

im also wondering about any schools that have a accelerated pathway to the rn liscense...

I am located in washington state, so not much help with your school search. Just wanted to wish you luck in finding the perfect school for you!

i am in california but i applied to University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. From what ive heard it`s not too competitive and the school has a great rep. also, i was told that last year they didn`t turn anyone down who met the requirements. they only accept BSN students without a previous degree in the summer though.

i also applied to uams...the BSN program starts in the summer...if you are already an lpn or have a degree in something else they have a program for that too...if you interested you should check out the website

good luck w/ your search1
