Nurses Career Support

Published

I have completed all of my pre-req's and found myself not accepted into the ASN program at my local community college. Instead of waiting another year to see if I get in, I am planning on going to a local technical college like Concorde or Keiser who now have the ASN programs.

So my question is do employers hired based on NCLEX and alma mater or does it matter? I checked the pass rates at both Concode and Keiser in my area and they are very good (over 80%).

Also, I already have a BS in Information Systems so when the time comes to advance in the nursing field will that BS be considered for management/leadership, etc or is the BSN necessary?

Thanks in advance! Sorry if these questions have been covered before!
