William K. Schubert Minority Nursing Scholarship
From Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center
The goal of the William K. Schubert Minority Nursing Scholarship Program is to increase the diversity of Registered Nurses (RN) at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and in our community. The program grants awards annually to assist individuals who are preparing to be pediatric RN's that provide patient care.
Criteria (not all-inclusive)

Member of one of the underrepresented groups in the registered nursing profession including:

Male nurses / Nursing students

Nurses / Nursing students who are:

American Indian
-
Alaskan Native
-
Black or African American
-
Hawaiian Native or other Pacific Islander
-
Hispanic or Latino
-
Asian including Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, Asian Indian, Thai, or Vietnamese/Southeast Asian
-
Enrolled or accepted in a prelicensure RN program (bachelor's or master's degree) at an accredited school of nursing on a full-time or part-time basis

Have and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale

Current Cincinnati Children’s employees eligible for benefits under the organization’s Tuition Assistance Program are eligible to apply for the scholarship
