The scholarship is sponsored by the National Black Nurses Association (NBNA)/VITAS Healthcare for a nurse or nursing student who is interested in pursuing a career in end-of-life care.
Scholarship Requirements (not all-inclusive)

Member of NBNA and a member of a local chapter; if a chapter does not exist within a 50-radius of your location you can join NBNA as a Direct Member

Enrolled in a nursing program (BSN, Associate, Diploma or Practical/Vocational Nursing, Masters, and Doctoral)

Good scholastic standing at the time of application

One full year of school remaining

Official Transcript(s) from an accredited School of Nursing

Written Essay

Two letters of recommendation
