This memorial nursing scholarship fund was established in 1989 at the VFW State Convention in honor of their Sr. Department Commander (1987-88), who passed away while still in office.

Eligibility Criteria (not all-inclusive)

  • The recipient must be at least one of the following:
    • Active duty service member
    • U.S. veteran
    • The child or spouse of a veteran or active duty service member
  • Resident of Pennsylvania
  • Undergraduate student
  • Recipient required to attend the local VFW district meeting to accept the scholarship award (expenses paid)
  • State Pennsylvania
  • Deadline 03/30/2021
  • Amount $1,000
  • Requirements Undergraduate, Essay, Membership, References, Transcript, Specific School, Active Duty
